six burner is better

Preheat, is much quicker thanks to the double ovens each being a little smaller. The smart app is nice for the different alerts it sends. I like the six burner instead of the five from my last range. The range grates are not perfectly level, which is the only reason i didn't give it 5 stars. It is easy to clean and everything else works great.

Hands down my favorite part of our kitchen renovation. The gas cooktop is amazing, we love the griddle attachment and the temperature control is very precise. I absolutely love the double ovens, since I'm able to bake bread and something else at the same time with different temperatures. And the small oven is incredibly efficient - it preheats so quickly. Excellent product all around!

The duel fuel is excellent. The layout of the burner controls is not logical and the duel heat level front left burner is not as functional as advertised. The rest of the burners work well and the fully level burner grids make it adaptable to any size pan. The convection oven is nice but not as well circulated as my former convection oven. Cookies are good but not as even. Also, the large oven on the bottom means picking up roasts from almost on the floor.

Second time we have bought this range. Love the gas for cooking and my husband loves the electric for baking. Use the top oven most often, but when entertaining or canning we use both ovens. Griddle was optional on first purchase but included this time; use it for breakfasts, lunch and dinner. No complaints so far! Haven't used wi-fi options

(I wanted to update my review) The knob with simmer on it was replaced on the wrong burner after delivery. I just had the opportunity to clean splatter from the grates, and top of the burner assembly. I am not happy with how hard it is to clean, used Dawn power wash and a scrubbing sponge, it took a long time and still didn™™t get it all. and a I don™™t understand the low and simmer on the stove burner. The knob goes to the mark but it looks like simmer is a bit lower, maybe these are the same setting? Not a fan of having to remove the griddle to remove the left or right grates to clean the top. A griddle splash cover would be nice, even as an accessory.

Professional Grade Range and Oven

This oven is exceptional. The gas ranges are even and we controlled. Each of the double ovens heats evenly and gets up to temperature quickly. The HMI control panel is intuitive. The aesthetics are top notch as well. The build quality is solid. My only recommendation would be to include a timer for both the top and bottom oven.

Looking for the supposed great features

I previously owned a similar GE appliance but oven and stovetop were both gas. I loved the griddle on it - it was functional, did not require seasoning and additionally the griddle was light weight and easy to move. This new griddle is very heavy and must be moved off the top in order to pick up the side burner grates to clean. I have hauled the new griddle down to the basement for storage due to the weight of it. Also, who is stupid enough to design an oven where you have to practically stand on your head to find the QR code because of its positioning? The cool air fan is much too loud. Here is a $4,000 unit and the fan is so loud it's nearly embarrassing to have the oven on when we have guests. I've not yet tried the air fryer mode but my daughter has a new GE built in electric double oven said it's not worth a hoot in comparison to the separate air fryer that she uses.

Replaced an inherited GE Monogram with a busted oven element that never seemed to be able to fit anything. Love this one, propane top is awesome and super powered, griddle is usable, both ovens have been great for flats in top (pizza, bread, 9x13s) and full braises (large Le Crusets). App features are cool to start oven etc..

Not built to last

We had this range for just over 5 years. Just long enough for the extended warranty to be expired. Suddenly, it starting shutting off, we thought it was just one of us doing it by accident. Finally, it showed an error that it had been wired incorrectly. It had been in the same place for 5 year. We had our electrician come in and check the breaker and the outlet and the wiring only to find out that there was a small electrical fire near the heating elements. I truly loved this range until then. We are replacing with another brand. SCARY!!

We've had the oven for a couple weeks now and love it. All of the features and controls work great. The cook tops and ovens are powerful and efficient. The electric ovens are much more precise than gas. The bottom oven is pretty low, but that's the only way to squeeze in double ovens in a 30-inch range. We end up using the top oven for most items though, since the bottom oven is only needed for bigger items like turkeys. The slide-out oven tray is helpful for lower items. Because it's smaller, the top oven preheats to temp very quickly, which is great.

Stove Heat Problem & Knob Replacement Issues

Wonderful appliance and the wifi remote access is great. Have two issues: 1. Oven Temps: We find the back of the oven is hotter than the front (pretty glaring) and the ovens don™™t seem to get appropriately hot. Roughly double the cook time on recipes. A little concerning. 2. Replacing Knobs/Handles (Optional): we spent the additional $700 to purchase bronze knobs/handles to replace the factory silver. The oven had a stripped screw on one handle from the factory making replacement of the silver handle for the bronze impossible. So we returned it to solve that problem. I just installed the SECOND appliance this morning and found it ALSO has a single stripped screw in the factory handle - not enabling us to fully swap out all the silver parts for bronze. Same boat but another 1.5 hours of install wasted.

Three weeks in, I love everything about it. I like that it heats up quickly, I like the big flat area in front of the burners, I like the griddle, I like the features. My only complaint is cleaning the top and bottom underneath where the grates for the burner sit. There are rubber pads, screws, and a gap where the metal overlays. This makes it difficult to clean.

We had an earlier version of this range in our last home and knew we wanted a Cafe range in our new home. This version is great for us as the small oven is perfect for nearly every day to day meal, while the large cavity will be perfect for holidays and larger recipes. Having 6 burners for this size range is amazing and I love the digital controls for the ovens and the griddle too. I can™™t wait to try the steam for dough and self-cleaning. We love our new Cafe oven. It bakes evenly and the 6 burners are awesome. We also used the griddle and it cooked the pancakes evenly. And, we love being able to cook two items in separate ovens at the same time.

The features and capabilities of this dual fuel / duel-oven are just what we were looking for. We wanted the gas burners with a griddle on top, but duel electric ovens below. We appreciate the benefits of gas burners and prefer the control and even baking of the electric ovens. App access for control and status are a nice feature as well.

Very versatile as far as proofing bread or air frying items. Bottom oven would hold a fairly large turkey. The burners light quickly and the display is easy to use. The instruction manual and also the app instructions for connecting to Wi-Fi are lacking however.

First off, the Cafe double oven range in probably the most beautiful range available for a standard 30™ kitchen range. We get loads of compliments when friends come over. We got off to a rough start because we bought the all gas version, only to discover for ourselves what so many had commented about online is that it smells of gas when the oven starts up. Not just a little, but a lot. So much so, you could smell gas in any part of our house. Not just concerning but also not healthy. When we called it in we also experienced what so many had commented about in online reviews, in that Cafe (GE) said this was normal with the oven. Sorry, there™™s nothing normal about spending almost $4k on a new stove and then having your house smell like gas. Thank goodness we bought the stove through Costco, because they understand customer satisfaction and had a 90 day return policy. With a simple call, they arranged to take back the stove, and we ordered in its place the dual fuel version of the same stove. The dual fuel, fast stove top and electric ovens, is bar none the best way to go. No more gas smell. Just cooking perfection and enjoyment.

I have used it numerous times since I received it. I have used the airfryer, oven for baking and burners. I love how the burners cook. I had a smaller airfryer so still adjusting my cook times, but it work good. I am used to baking with gas, not electric so working out the learning curve. All in all I love how it performs and its absolutely beautiful!

We absolutely love the look, configuration, and functionality of our new Cafe. We have a small cottage kitchen, and love that we are able to have a cooktop with six burners, plus get the functionality of a double oven without having the wall space for two full size double ovens. The gas stovetop cooks evenly and offers several different types/sizes of burners. The oven preheats quickly and cooks evenly. The telescopic rack in the bottom oven glides in and out like a dream. The control screen is sleek and modern looking. I™™d recommend this to anyone and would buy it again. The reason we gave four stars is because when we received our new Cafe, one burner didn™™t work and the ends of the oven gasket/seal weren™™t tucked into each other.

I love the gas stove top. My only complaint is that the stainless steel scratches so easily. Not only do the grates scratch the surface but when you use a plastic scrub cloth, it scratches the stainless steel.

I love the configuration of the double ovens. We use the smaller upper oven more and glad it's the more ergonomically placed one. Heat is very consistent and seems accurate. We have not tested the overall capacity but anticipate it will help cook larger meals with different heat requirements. The oven display has everything available but sometimes you have to touch "cancel" after waking it up to begin your initial command. We converted the burners to propane and they work flawlessly so far. Build quality is great.

Cafe is supposed to be one of the better lines of GE products. I would have to say that they're fit and finish has gone down some. There were screws missing, misalignment of some of the back panels. The instructions were not the greatest and there was a piece missing, the spacer behind the range. I was able to get that through customer service although it took about a week and prevented the range from being completely installed. The screws are necessary to hold it also came separately weeks after the part. It would have been nice if they included a ball bearing roll out rack for both ovens instead of just one because the standard racks are very cheesy and stick when trying to pull in and out. Having six burners is really nice and the control on the gas is excellent much better than our previous 20 year old decor. The tech associated with the oven such as being able to scan a barcode is impressive but so far the bar codes that we have scanned are not in their system? Overall the range is pleasing to look at but haven't had enough chance to know how well the ovens work.

I fell in love with this oven at first sight. It's beautiful. Oh my, what can I say....the Double ovens. One actually has the ability to be a convection oven. The SIX burners. With the option to remove the center grate and replace it with the cast iron griddle (included). The Copper knobs and handles. It's Gorgeous!

The Cafe range checks all our boxes. Our favorite feature is how quickly the ovens (both upper and lower) heat up and cool down. The "smart" features are also helpful for preheating the oven from anywhere and getting a notice when the timer is done. It is a beautiful feature in our renovated kitchen. The number of burners is great, and there is plenty of room to have multiple pots and pans. It seems easy to clean the stove. The rollout grate is a really nice feature for the lower oven especially. No complaints so far.

So far, I love my new range and it looks so beautiful in my kitchen. I'm still in the process of learning all of the features it has. love the fact that I can control it with my phone. The only downside is that the alarm is too low. (I wear hearing aids and I wonder if I can connect them to my range so that I can receive the alarm sound straight into my hearing aids.
