Replacement for a previous model that failed.

Had the same model that I purchased in May 2025 and it failed 3 months after purchase. This is a replacement model and so far seems to be working fine. The problem is that winter is around the corner and we will be putting it away for the season. My big concern is that when we use it again in the spring will it only last a couple of months and then fail like the previous one? Will Frigidaire stand behind their product or leave me with a $500.00 paper weight? I guess time will tell.

Replacement For Previous AC That Stopped Working

This unit I recieved is a replacement for a unit I purchased for $500.00 that completley stopped cooling after less than 3 months of use. Hopefully this lasts longer, but my confidence in Frigidaire and Electrolux products are not very good at this point. $500.00 is a lot of money to spend for a unit that lasted less than 90 days. To Frigidaires credit, they replaced the unit quickly, but it will only be used for another month before being stored for winter. Im wondering if I'm going to have the same problem next year when I pull it out to use it again. And if Frigidaire will still stand by their product.

We haven't had this unit long, but is our second Frigidaire because we love our first! Because we don't have central air, this is the next best thing. The unit is quiet and efficient. I love that the unit cycles when the temperature is reached. It is very quiet which is an enormous improvement from the units of years past that sound like you have a small plane running i your living room!I look forward to trying the heat when the weather gets cold.

DO NOT BUY! AC not blowing cold air after less than 2 months. I called CS and submitted everything that they asked for and was told that my replacement would be processed within 7-10 business days. 12 business days later I am still waiting on them to ™€œprocess™€ my replacement. Getting the run around and going nowhere. I would like my money back at this point. I went with this company because they™€™ve been around for a while. I would never have expected such horrible customer service from this company

The beautiful product not only keeps my bedroom nice and cold but it also doesn't make my electric bill outrageous. This product has very little impact on my electric bill and it is on probably 16 to 20 hours a day. Easy to clean and doesn™€™t cause any dampness to my room. This is my second time buying one. The first one I had for about 6 to 7 years.

Not Reliable - 2 failures in 1 year

Purchased a unit in the summer of 2024. Went to use it this season, AC not working at all. Luckily we had purchased an extended warranty from the store and received a replacement unit in May 2025. Three months later, same issue, no cold air. 2 bad units within 1 year, store offered another replacement. I do not want another Frigidaire portable AC unit based on the poor reliability.

I purchased this unit in July 2024 and used seldomly for the remainder of the summmer. The unit stopped working after less than 12-15 uses. Even though still under warranty, I have been working with customer service since May 2025 and they have not resolved the issue as promised. I have called and emailed numerous times but do not receive a response. Very poor customer service, I recommend purchasing an LG or GE. Never had issues with other portable AC's. Please do not support this company, they just want your money and do not provide what is promised. Very unfortunate.

If I could give this zero stars I would. Within a few weeks of using it, the air conditioner broke. Customer service said they don™€™t repair these units so they would send a new one. It has been weeks and we have to keep calling customer service to try and check the status of the claim. Every time we are told there is no update and they are escalating the ticket and that our claim will be processed in 24 hours. After being told this on 3 separate occasions, we asked for our money back as the season is almost over and we no longer need it. Then we are told they will not refund us and that the ticket for the replacement is still being processed. Mind you weeks have went by. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMPANY. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Still no replacement or refund. WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK.

I needed something to cool a 1200 square foot home, since my Central AC went down, that being said, I saw that this model would at least cool half of that square footage, since my kitchen living area is one room. It does a pretty good job as long as I leave the curtains closed to block the afternoon sun. I'd like to have the curtains open for light but until I can replace my HVAC this is doing a decent job

I™€™ve only had it a few weeks but its been working just fine. I™€™d prefer to give a review in a couple months but so far so good. I gave one star however due to the fact I was supposed to receive 2 day air mail shipping and was lied to by their customer service saying it was shipped out and in my area but it actually didn™€™t even ship out for two more days and once it did the shipping was changed to ground!!! I believe I dealt with the same women, Wendy, who lied to me the first time about it being shipped then once it finally did ship I called upset and confused and she proceeded to gaslight me and act like I didn™€™t understand how two day shipping worked (I worked for a shipping business my mom owned for many years LOL) but kept contradicting herself and making no sense. She then proceeded to offer me 25$ back for the inconvenience which absolutely does not make up for the two day air mail nor the 3 unpaid days I had to take off to ensure I was home for the delivery which I only did because I had been lied to about its delivery date!! At that point though I was so fed up, aggravated, and clearly getting no where with her so I hung up. Still very upset with this situation and tried to reach out to them via email explaining everything that happened but haven™€™t received a response of course :) So if being absolutely punished by a terrible company with extremely poor ethics and customer service is your thing, do yourself a favor and purchase one of these bad biscuits for yourself!

I am so happy with my purchase. For years I had my LG air conditioner but it didn™€™t do its job in cooling my apartment. After one bad heatwave this year I decided to get a new air conditioner and I am so happy I did. Frigidaire really does its job in cooling my whole apartment and I sleep with a blanket on which is something I couldn™€™t do with my old air conditioner. If you™€™re thinking about it, just do it because the heatwaves and humidity here in NY is no joke.

So far the unit works well. It cools the room quickly and shuts itself off when it reaches set temperature. It™€™s also fairly quiet. It™€™s a bit cumbersome compared to other units but the extra mass is mostly vertical not horizontal so it still fits in the same space as other smaller units
