The machine itself seems to be just fine, it's a replacement model for our prior that died. The installation left a lot to be desired. Firstly we were told that they could not remove the current cabinet face to reinstall on the new machine - It was not until I started to do it myself that they obliged. Then, it was installed crooked, with one corner sticking out from underneath the counter.

The soap dispenser almost never opens. Very frustrating to run it for 2 hours and find a partially dissolved soap packet still in the dispenser. Cabinet ready fronts don™™t match normal cabinets so it looks odd and doesn™™t blend in.

Custom door panel doesn't fit

We have used Ge appliances in our kitchen for over 30 years and needed to replace our GE model that has a custom panel on the front. Our Best Buy salesperson said this was the only model that currently can support a custom panel. I read the install instructions and found that the maximum door length was 30 5/8" and ours is 30 1/4". After it was installed , the door was attached and would not open fully without hitting the inside frame of the unit. We had to cut it down to 28 1/4" to make it open fully! It now stands out from our kitchen cabinets! We would have gone with another brand or a stainless steel face if we would have known. In reading other reviews after our issue, I noticed two others that had the same problem. GE needs to address this now so others won't be so disappointed!

I had to purchase a dishwasher without seen the product, and Home Depot return policy is 48 hours, but the technician to come install the dishwasher panel wouldn't cone out for another day, so I didn't like the dishwasher, and my Viking panel is too big for a GE dishwasher, NOBODY TOLD ME THAT! And now is too late to get another dishwasher or panel, my kitchen looks horrible with a dishwasher with no front panel

We bought this to replace the same exact model purchased two years prior. This installed in end of November and broke already early January and have been waiting for quite some time for repair. At least the first one lasted two years before the breakdown unlike this that was 2 months old. The repair company GE is uses is ridiculous and has cancelled at least 3 times and no showed twice.

Unbelievably poorly designed

Options for a panel-front dishwasher were limited, so we went with this one. Turns out it has no heated dry function, and the entire thing is incredibly unorganized. I have no idea who designed it because nothing seems to fit right anywhere. We often end up running it with bowls at angles such that they have a few teaspoons of water in them when the cycle in done. Utensil compartment is equally useless and has to be jammed somewhere in the rack as it has no designated location to secure it. Two stars because it does in fact clean dishes.

Custom panel ready dishwasher is quiet and adequately cleans and dries load if you fill in the door rinse agent dispenser. Door is lighter weight than other custom panel dishwashers I™™ve owned like Bosch for example.

The dishwasher itself was an easy install and cleans very well. If there was one improvement I would ask for it would be for a better silverware holder. Silverware goes in handles up and forks in particular make their way through the basket and make pulling out the drawer impossible as they get stuck below.

We purchased this product as it was the only panel-ready dishwasher available after COVID to replace our Bosch unit. Positives are that it is very quite and cleans well. Negatives are that you have to press START and close the door within 4 seconds to start the dishwasher; however, it frequently fails to start and you go to unload it and discover it has not washed the dishes. The utensil basket is flimsy (handle comes off) and it is difficult to get it properly seated on the rack. Attaching the panel is extremely difficult compared to the Bosch which was very easy to attach and remove. The Bosch uses two metal clips whereas the GE uses one plastic clip that broke during installation. Whereas the Bosch panel takes minutes to install, it took several hours to install the panel on the GE. The GE door is also not as tall as the Bosch door such that you cannot view the controls when the door is closed. Overall, it seems over-priced for the value, quality and design.

This dishwasher interior is NOT standard height. Installation instructions say: "This dishwasher MAY ALSO be installed into a STANDARD opening ..... by installing the infill bracket or extending the legs". Infill bracket = 2" at top; compartment is 6" off floor instead of standard 3 1/2" = difference of 2 1/2" at bottom (- 4 1/2" total) =15% less interior height

Finally delivered & paid extra to have old dishwasher hauled away & new installed. They could not get it installed b/c they could not get water turned off under sink. So we had to schedule a plumber to come out & install it (extra $360). Then the door will not stay open. The springs are so tight on it that we have to get a 10 lb weight from the garage to place on the door to keep it open while we load or unload the dishwasher. Now we have noticed that the soap dispenser does not open during the cycles. We find it untouched after the cycle has run. We had a GE for 17 years with no service calls so we decided to order another one. This one has been terrible

I had a GE before and loved everything about it. This one however is another story. The interior design is terrible. the flatware basket is small, some of the odd shaped holes to hold the silverware won't fit the items & where it is placed in the machine takes up space. It holds at least 30% less dishes than my last one. I was not able to see a panel ready in stores so I was unaware of the design. Also, the compartment for the Jet Dry has no feature to let you know it is empty. The only thing good about this purchase is that I now have a panel to match my cabinets.
